Similar / dearest / hate
When yous talk about repeated actions, you tin can use -ing or to … later on these verbs. And then you tin can say:
• Do you lot like getting upwardly early? or Practice you like to get upwards early?
• Stephanie hates flying. or Stephanie hates to fly.
• I love meeting people. or I love to meet people.
• I don't like being kept waiting. or … similar to be kept waiting.

(1) We use -ing (not to …) when nosotros talk about a state of affairs that already exists (or existed). For example:

Would like / would love / would detest / would prefer
Would like / would dear etc. are usually followed past to … :
• I'd like (= would like) to get away for a few days.
• Would you like to come up to dinner on Fri?
• I wouldn't like to get on holiday alone.
• I'd beloved to run into your family.
• Would you prefer to have dinner now or later?
Compare I like and I would like (I'd like):
• I like playing lawn tennis. / I like to play tennis. (= I like information technology in general)
• I'd like to play lawn tennis today. (= I want to play today)
Would mind is always followed past -ing (not to …):
• Would you mind endmost the door, delight?
Unit 58- Role C
I would like to have done something = I regret now that I didn't or couldn't do information technology:
• It's a pity we didn't run into Val when we were in London. I would similar to have seen her over again.
• We'd like to have gone away, simply we were too busy at dwelling.
